چکیده
Around the North Sea, how have port cities and in hinterlands of influenced one another past? What possible links are there between population trends various urban areas time periods? Is it to identify origin urbanization patterns around Sea? To understand current era urbanization, we need analyze historical long term. By mapping figures for eight moments history combining this with data on political boundaries large infrastructures that facilitate flows goods people, article aims contribute an improved understanding contemporary Sea. It also presents first spatial dataset settlements Sea by means a series demographic maps, from 1300 2015. provides detailed explanation method used handling demographical data. Each map is accompanied brief pattern, special attention identifying economic developments clarifications centers gravity shifts. The maps lay foundation further research social (port) regions culture through space time. Port must be analyzed perspective sea, which requires rethinking sets borders, ways these served as porous distribution hubs transit nodes boundary-crossing flows.

Population dynamics of the Metapenaeus monoceros (Fabricius, 1798) in North-eastern Mediterranean Sea
Monthly sampling of speckled shrimp was conducted by bottom trawl in the Iskenderun Bay between November 2009 and October 2010. There was a linear relationship between carapace length and total length in males and females (TL = -0.112 + 0.2294*CL R2 = 0.8298, n = 327) for males, (TL = -0.3918 + 0.2731 * CL R2 = 0.8919, n = 457) for females, and (TL = -0.378 + 0.2684 * CL R2=0.8492, n=784) for t...

متن کاملLong Term Seasonal Dynamics of Synechococcus Population Structure in the Gulf of Aqaba, Northern Red Sea
Spatial patterns of marine Synechococcus diversity across ocean domains have been reported on extensively. However, much less is known of seasonal and multiannual patterns of change in Synechococcus community composition. Here we report on the genotypic diversity of Synechococcus populations in the Gulf of Aqaba, Northern Red Sea, over seven annual cycles of deep mixing and stabile stratificati...
متن کاملSolar Driven Geomagnetic Anomalies and Sperm Whale (Physeter macrocephalus) Strandings Around the North Sea: An Analysis of Long Term Datasets
To stimulate the discussion about possible reasons for whale strandings, we suggest solar driven geomagnetic variations as one further explanation for this phenomenon. Following this hypothesis that whales may strand due to geomagnetic disturbances we compared annual means of stranding event numbers of sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) along the North Sea coasts with yearly averaged numbers...
متن کاملMultiple Processes Regulate Long-Term Population Dynamics of Sea Urchins on Mediterranean Rocky Reefs
We annually monitored the abundance and size structure of herbivorous sea urchin populations (Paracentrotus lividus and Arbacia lixula) inside and outside a marine reserve in the Northwestern Mediterranean on two distinct habitats (boulders and vertical walls) over a period of 20 years, with the aim of analyzing changes at different temporal scales in relation to biotic and abiotic drivers. P. ...
